Fully Aware, Still Consuming

This project started from a real accident. At a McDonald's self-service kiosk, the receipt printed completely saturated in red ink, the paper coming out nearly black, the text underneath barely legible. Instead of discarding it, I kept it. The stain recalled blood, but also branding itself, red already belonging to the grammar of fast food. Logos, ketchup, urgency, appetite, the color works before any message arrives. The printer error unintentionally pushed that language to its limit, stripping away composition and hierarchy until only the color remained. And the color alone was enough to make something that looked like damage. Or like a confession. The poster is not an indictment. It is a portrait of complicity, built from the same visual tools the system uses, turned inward.




The project explores mass consumption, overstimulation, convenience, and the labor hidden behind branding. Not as external critique, but from inside, fully aware of how the system works, and still participating. Sometimes a printing error says more than the actual branding.
